Silly String

(gourds, spray paint, acrylic, marker, yarn) This piece allowed me to play with a bigger scale and environment. It represents opportunities that lay waiting in the future, scrambled up.

Time

(Glass containers, jello, mixed media)

In this piece I wanted to play with the idea of freezing a moment in time, and made each glass container into a time capsule. Each one represents a different memory or idea, with object suspended in brightly colored jello.

I wanted to evoke a feeling of anxiety and a fast pace in this video, while staying true to my playful and colorful aesthetic. 

Bed

(Plaster, Watercolor, mixed media)

I took inspiration from my comforter on my bed in the making of this piece. I wanted to create a floppy, sleepy, and soft feeling, while using a hard and rough material like plaster. To evoke this airy and magical feeling I added in the pastel colors and glitter.

Juice

(acrylic, glass, water, food coloring, glitter, silicone sealant)

This piece started out with the glass vase painted with the bananas on it, but I felt that it needed something more. I experimented with filling the vase with various objects and substances, and landed on the yellow-colored water. I like the monochromatic theme with the yellows, and the pop of bright blue at the bottom. 

Moomoo Chomp

3.5"x3.5"x6" (Plaster, Watercolor, Pipe cleaner, Plastic Cow) Lately I've loved playing with a theme of food in my art and really like carving plaster and the affects watercolor paints have on plaster.

Milk

12"x13" (Screenprint) This was a piece made at precollege, I juxtaposed the everyday foods with a bloody knife.
